Stupid Program Wrecked Computer
Stupid Program Wrecked Computer
I downloaded Paint Pos Pro and then uninstalled it. When I open up a .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, or .gif file their icons are now different and when I select them they will go into a window saying which application you want to open it with. Got some attachments. Chris_OJB_DF645 --  |

That doesent always mean it wrecked your computer since you unistalled that program it just is making you chose a program for paint to open it because it switched to the newly installed when opening your files! All you have to do is open it with another paint program should work fine!

right click a gif file
go to properties on the right of the adress there is a buttone that says change click it pick the program you want or browse for the one you want then on the bottom check the use this everytime press apply and repeat for png, jpg, ect |
Well, I went to Folder Options and fixed the first one, but the .jpg and .gif files need to be fixed.
I need someone to do this for me. I need to find out where the main .gif icon and .jpg icon is. And I need to know what application are they opened with. Chris_OJB_DF645 --:) :) |

That Problem
That Problem
All fixed, and what Visor said, if I did do that and open it with another program it would really not put the right icons and stuff into it. I went into Folder Options and edited the extensions. I wanted it to open up with Internet Explorer for .jpg and .gif files and I found the main icons for it which was great at the same time. Photoshop is good and that but I want one like Photoshop where there is no trial and it's free! When I want one that's free doesn't really mean I'm trying to get around not buying things! The same thing living said is what i basically told you if you read it!
Says here, last sentence All you have to do is open it with another paint program should work fine! Same thing living told u except the "always open with this program thing" is only different he said! Dont know about your computer but usally when i tell mine to open with another program when the other isnt installed uses that program completely! You can put the icons for the program whatever you choose though it doesent have to be what the program is anyways! Thanx Living for adding on and clearing things up :gj: |
