looking for a host, post urs

before people think of yelling at me, i looked at the other threads. i'm just posting that i'm gonna get a new domain and a new host and i'm wondering what people are currently using. i can only pay via paypal so u know if you had to pay via cc then i probaly can't use that host. anyways when i find a good one i'll post it i guess, but i would like to see what you guys use. :)

Can host you for free for a while with your domain if you want :)

I have space I'm not using at the moment

Running Plesk 8 :)

Else I recomend www.jaguarpc.com, one of the best customer services i've ever seen :)

thanks guys. i probaly won't need free hosting but thanks for the offer bro, people like u r what make novahq.net so good :D. I've singled it down to godaddy.com hosting, sitegrounds.com, and jagaurpc.com as well as hostgater.com (apollo is good but i don't have the cash.)

jagaur i know has good customer support,
siteground is cheap but how is support,
hostgator.com, i have heard has had some problems via customer support, but i don't know?

i'm thinking i may go dual domain+hosting via godaddy.com cause it's a company i have used and trusted before, but hey the other sties look nice.

well, i use www.mdwebhosting.com.au i think they accept paypal, been with em for nearly a year and never had any problems at all, live 24 hour chat support thing aswell, have no idea where the physcial server is loacted...

SilentTrigger 05-12-2006 08:31 AM

You're welcome, there are really alot of good hosts, what puts them appart is usually their support, thats often what you pay for :)

JonM 05-29-2006 07:35 PM

Well I went with sitegrounds and I am thoroughly impressed. The features work great, the site works great, haven't had any host side problems. Little worried about the 7 free support tickets thing, i think it should be all free but oh well.

So http://sitegrounds.com is great!

DevilDog#1 05-29-2006 07:42 PM

Yay!!! Fellow SiteGrounder! I have been with them for more than 7 or 8 months. No issues :D

SilentTrigger 05-30-2006 09:26 AM

No host compares to Hostgator.com.
0 downtime, superior support.

Another happy hostgator.com customer! They are second to none that I have found in many years of web envolvement. I dont think a person can provide for himself what they do for the money.

Stay a way from ipowerweb.com, the are the WORST.

directnic.com comes in close behind hostgator but hostgator is in a whole league by themselves. :D
