BHD crashes in XP
 

For months my BHD has been working great, but today as soon as I click on the icon to start the game, I get an error message, "dfbhd.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". I reinstalled the game, downloaded the update, and downloaded the latest DirectX and nothing works. Im playing the game in XP, have never had a problem before. Nothing has changed on my PC since the last time I played it. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

nova have taken a stad against 3rd party software, if your running the no-cd crack then that may be your problem

Im running a pure factory copy, no mods, nothing. CD in the tray, etc.

I got a support email from Nova. They said I needed to uninstalll the game, delete the folder that still remains in Program Files directory. Also to use the clean disk utility.
Reinstalled and it works now.

If sum1 else encounters it also, do what Rugburn said and ( if you know what you are doing !!! ) look in the registry for the BHD keys. I found out that they might be the problem in a few occasions.

If you do not know what you have to do with the registry or doesnt even know were to find. Dont bother trying it. If you do the wrong things you screw up your computer.

Now dont say i didnt warn you. :p
