Graphics Card
Hey guys, i was wondering if any of you know of a good cheap graphics card for under $150, i have an Nvidia GeForce 9500GT. If anybody would know of a better one that is under $150, please, let me know. i got a few games that will not run smoothly because of the settings i have on, im a perfectionist, so i pretty much need to have good graphics or else it will piss me off, lol
thanks |

Im pretty sure mine would be around that price now - 9800 GTX+ overclocked (not sure if they make the GTX+ version anymore)
hmm, where could you find one?

lol, duh, i just dont feel like searching it, ill do it l8r tho
sry for double post, but is it a GIGABYTE GV-N98XP512H-B GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card?
or more like EVGA 512-P3-N874-AR e-GeForce 9800 GTX + Superclocked 512 MB DDR3 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card? |
Nah it was by Inno3D, GTX+ Overclocked
Hm can't seem to find an OC version, even though its printed on the box, but heres the gtx+

ok, but using direct x 10 will let me play dx9 games too, right? and i read reviews saying that it was a 512mb, not a 1gb (which it says it is a 1gb in the name) and my 9500GT is a 1024mb (which is 1.24gb?)
You'll be able to play DX9 games with a DX10 graphics card. BTW, 1024mb = 1.024gb. :D
ok, and thanks
so why does it matter if its 512mb or 1gb? idk alot about computers :P |
Actually.. 1024mb = 1gb ;)
The higher the memory, the better it performs on higher resolutions, usually. |
to answer the question yeah any DX10 or DX11 card can run DX9.

What resolution are you running? I have 1440x900 and 512mb is fine for me.
1152x864 but in ARMA 2 demo, its 1008x756 for the 3D resolution to not have an even bigger delay between buttons and the game
In that case im sure you'll be fine with 512mb :)
ok, so all i need is $100+ and i will get it....is it easy to install it?
