Squib Runs in BHD
I wanted to ask. In some of my maps this option works just fine and in some of my other maps I can't get the Squib to show up in the ground when I set a trigger to kill the SSN. I all so see that the sample map that comes stock with the Z value set at 20.
Any one have an idea why this works some time and not all the time. |
Once a bug hits it is persistent in the map, open the map in the editor and delete all Markers then Rename in General Details and save as a new map, replace Markers and readjust events and bug should be gone

Thanks I tried that too a long time a go and it still didn't work. I just think it has some thing to do with the terrian. For some reason the terrian is all screwed up. and I think that's the way most of the terrians are.

Is it on the seams? That could be one thing...

not that I know of. I just see that when I add it to one terrian. It seems to work. and when I add it again to another terrian it doesn't work. So I still think it the terrian.

may I suggest a substitute to squibs?
It's been a while since I opened the MED so bare with me here. (assuming you're using little birds) open the little birds item attributes. in its AI type or object type, something along those lines, I think there's an option to change it to heli - little bird strafe, I may be wrong in the exact wording. Now in the events, instead of starting a squib, you just make it fire on command. If you don't want it to fire at a 45 degree angle you can change its firing angle with events. I was using the unlocked editor when I did this and it worked just as I explained. 1 or 2 of the features I just mentioned aren't available in the Team Sabre MED. |
