i dunno if 'zone alarms' is free or not, but it might be.

they are both ok.

'blackice defender' is supposed to be good

macafee or norton ones wil be good also

Zone Pro slows down the connection ... I run xxxx only when playing DF-TFD other than that I use Zone Pro ...

I was reading a story, article online, this little kid was hackign into this internet companies servers. He was hammering them with udps and **** and it was killing there double T1 lines, and the owner got a laptop and tried seeing what the bot was that he was using, and he used black ice for a firewall, didnt workfor ****!!!!, he saisd basically black ice doesnt guard anything...

the trouble is the first thing hackers find out is to break through firewalls lol.

If i new that i wouldent be hear asking for a firewall LOL

u get trojans from software, more than likely from downloading files from somewhere.

trojans can be stopped from working properly via using a firewall but thats not how you would get it. :/

You're getting trojans from infected files being opened. No-one is gaining access to your system..

BTW blackice is very ineffective..
