Nice text effect :gj:

text is pretty kool, don't like the bevel tho. The white line fading out is a very good effect. gj m8 :gj:

bevel bad... and the border doesnt catch my eye...

It hasn't deformed the text or border. I don't make flat sig's. Moste of my sig's have bevel and drop shadow to create depth. It's just a diferent style to boring flat sig's. :D |

he gave his opinion, don't get defensive. THat kind of bevel makes the sig look noobish (I try not to use that word TOO much). |
squeek !
I'm a NOOB.
And proud to be one. If I wanted to make a flat sig, I would have removed the drop shadow and set the bevel to 0 or 1. Putting a deep bevel on text or border which has a flat image would look wrong. Putting a flat text or border on image's which have drop shadows or bevels would look wrong. Why is it, every time someone uses a bevel greater than 1, they get messages saying "too much bevel" "bevel bad" "lose the bevel" ? If using deep bevels are "noobish" then so are 1 pixel borders, scanlines, gradients and strokes. Bevels are just another tool to create depth and atmosphere. who said i'm being defensive..... I'm not being defensive..... :D Is it too much to ask for people to explain the reasons for there comments ? I need a rest after all this typing. :drooling: |
