PROBLEM:
When I run the video test for Delta Force – Black Hawk Down it fails.

RESOLUTION:
Make sure that your video card meets all requirements listed on the game’s box. This means it has to have at least 32 megs of memory (preferably a Nvidia TNT or GeForce card, or an ATI Radeon card). If you don’t know what kind of video card you have in your computer you can find out by following these steps. Click on the “Start” button and go from “Start” to “Run”. In the text prompt that opens up, erase anything that is already displayed and type in DXDIAG then press “OK”. This will open the Direct X Diagnostic Tool. Once you are in this tool you can click on the “Display” tab at the top of the page and the tool will provide information on your video card. In the upper left-hand corner there will be a box labeled “Device”. In this box you will find the important information about your video card, including its total memory.

If your video card meets the requirements for the game you’ll want to make sure you have the latest driver update for your video card. These files are what your video card uses to communicate with Windows and are essential to making sure the game runs properly. Updated drivers are typically free of charge and can be downloaded from the web page of the company that made your video card. A list of common video cards along with links to their manufacturer’s homepages is available at http://www.novalogic.com/support_video.asp
