Hey all.
I'm looking for a PHP portal system like PHPnuke, but is easy to customize and skin. I've heard that PHPnuke is very easy to hack :p Features I would like;
- To be able to have archives of articles & reviews
- To be able to add my own scripts
- To be able to create my own themes easily
- A powerful and safe admin panel

So far I've looked at;
phpclanwebsite (although the site isnt for gaming), mambo (looks to hard to skin). I've also thought about coding my own, but I feel it may take to long.

So does anyone know of any decent free portals like this? Or do you think I'm better off with PHPnuke? ;)

If not, I cant find any tutorials or guidelines on building a management system, anyone found one before?

Forget php nuke, look at something like Dragonfly CMS

It has the same features as nuke but more secure and better.
You can easly add modules or blocks and themes are quite easy to do if you know a little html.

there is also php-nuke platinum, nuke-evolution... both of which have had security enhancments and other mod added.


Platinum is basically php-nuke with dozens of mods added and security issues addressed.
