The LAN PATCH was declared an illegal patch by Novalogic. Therefor, NovaHQ is to have no part with this patch. Sorry.

illegal ? well hpefuly novalogic comes out with one then

ive got the 1.0 lan patch release, but it don't work. when is start the dfxlan.exe i get the following error (see the attached file).

is the patch from novalogic or other?

it's illegal so no one here can help you, read edges post up there..

for all games for lan play you dont need a serial. this game you do. what a stupid game.

have JO istalled is beneficial because if you dont you have to run the JO_ghost_reg which is not guaranteed to work.

there was an updated ghost_reg file released but i dont have it sry.

ref patch for lan does not work

it sure does work but you have to install joint operations tr
then it will work...if it comes up with standard dfx screen and music go to options then load expansion tab...then run dfx lan you should be ok...

the subject about the Lan patch is off limit item. sorry you can call them up or e-mail them if you like to ask them to change it.

some way this is true to Warez the game, players can walk to another computer system instill it into it each of them can play with each other, this burns!! one Cd per/computer system is the limit its not shareware or made into a free for all game to share with the world. don't think NL will change their mind on this lan log-in. best get use to it. days of bypass log-ins is no more DFBHD was the last of them use bypass log-in. JOTR and DF:Xtreme don't have this option no more and now DF:Xtreme all most log-in to play lan now days. can't blame NL they lost a lot of money on people Warez/piracying their software with others. USD-20.00 buy it not a lot of money it cheaper then JOTR is
