need help HD transfer to new HD
 

i have a old HD like to Trasnfer it too the new HD.

i try to use a item but it goof on me, it wipe out the new HD and change it from a 300GB to a 40GB hd and old HD items were not even added to the newer HD at all.

like to trasnfer all my programs and windows Xp to the new HD, any ID or tip be great.

Ps i never did this before, so i like to know if there a way to do this.

my OS is windows Xp SP2 Home version. fully update
