Hackers Suck A Fat Rocket
 

Yes hackers are no fun. I have a Linux Mandriva server at home and use Firestarter as my firewall. It has a great gui for simple use and easy setup. It is ideal for linux begginers.

That is no commercial I promise, just a testimony. I also have a friend who wrote a program for that black-lists hackers that attempt to ssh to my home server. It tags IP addresses that are constantly hitting my firewall. These IP addresses once they are taged are then posted to a log file. This log file is read by the other half of the program that shutsdown or blocks that IP, thus totaly pissing off the hacker. :oP

I would hope there would be a way to do the same thing with DF1 gaming. The problem is how would you know who is the hacker? You would have to be present during hosting and not leave it alone. Although, it would be very cool to have a program like this.

temp play DF:1 from windows exployer from desktop.

sorry my system is down don't know the key to inside the game to change it to "exployer windows" desktop from full screen. should be able to find it by press F1 inside the game. think it the print-key not 100% on that.

It's still the same with many other DF1 game room - these asswipes keep kicking out servers. I got nailed again. I think that trusted DF1 Teams and other DF1 players, need to get together and start hosting "Password Games", that's what the Nova Tech(s) are telling me - they can't get in or hack their way in without the "Password".

We do host for other teams with our servers - but from now on - I think we need to try with "Password" rooms only.

to bad no one can change the codes in it so the work another way to ban people, only thing i can think is they found how it works and block it from doing it thing. now if the command codes were change come how so it ban them in alnew way that may work.

novalogic, inc will not do a thing for this old game they would say buy DF: xtreme even if it that great ether for dial-up users like DF:1 was.

do you have a open server for all players or you host for a small group of players.

don't know if you can set a password so only them you like can join in the server.

think if you have all the players you like to be in the sever there is a last option.

basic it ether lock or lockgame code name

1x it close the door so no other can come into the server
2x it open the door for other to come in.
