Record DF1 or DF2 games?

Hello, I have been struggle with this a long time now..
How do you guys record your Delta Force 1 or 2 games while playing?
I tried with fraps but in the end it started to fail all time and it only worked with DF2. Some people use hypercam "the old version." But i don't know where to find it and/or what settings I should have. Would be nice if HD was possible. Or if anyone knows any other tool to use.

Would be fun to make some game plays instead of just uploading pictures on YouTube. :smoke:

I don't know if you lads understand what i mean now but.. When i used hyper cam and was done.
I got the gameplay in top of the right screen and everything else was black. So the video was messed up. And i could not figure out how to fix that. If anyone knows a good recording program or what settings I should have please tell me! :)

Download Hypercam 2 for free here:

Set the recording resolution to the actual resolution of your game. That will prevent the gameplay from only appearing in the top right of the screen.

First Choice
Razer Game Booster http://www.razerzone.com/gamebooster

It has a raft of handy tools including system boost and OS tweak, game launcher, game-defragmenter, screenshots and (low level hardware) video capture straight from your GFX card.

The program also compresses the capture on the fly so you don't have to muck about reducing video size (like FRAPS) or other issues (black screen) and it doesn't impact on game performance that I can see.

I've tried many tools and this one works the best for me and it's totally free.

Second Choice
MSI Afterburner http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

Another free program with a very similar tool-set to Game Booster.

Some videos of games appear slightly darker than screen settings but can be fixed with adjustments (in-game gamma settings) or video authoring software.

Game Booster won't work for DF1 or DF2 unless they are played in Hardware Mode (not even sure DF1 has that option), plus that mode screws the game up terribly.

Thanks for answering Bullet & Stompem. I tried razor game booster but it did not work as I wanted it to. It made games like CS:GO crash, so when I uninstalled it they stop crashing.

I'm gonna give hyper cam a try again. So if I understand right, shall I have "Width" on 800 and "Height" on 600? Because that's the resolution I play on.

I used them now and it work great!

Glad to hear it.

Even though DF uses voxel raster graphics it works for me (helped by today's high speed processing)

It involves forcing a workaround by re-directing the engine throughput to a dll.

Using the "method" with launch parameters on your games permits the use of OpenGL - 3dfxgl.dll, atioglxx.dll or Direct3D - dxd3d9.dll, dxgi.dll etc..

You can get 3rd party software freely available on the internet to inject the dll fx code as well.

But thanks to --BulletMagnet-- you don't need to bother with this complexity now :gj:

Doing some let's play's on delta force :)

it's game-play + commentary, it's actually not so easy as I though it would be.. xD
