Science behind laughter and jokes and humor?
Now I know that laughter is caused by something we find "funny" but I am wondering what causes us to find that something funny. Also if we know that each person finds different things funny that means that there is some variable that changes throughout different people (DNA?) and is it possible to create the "perfect joke" based on these facts?

Nope, but I'm sure they all use the same formula.

have to find that funny bone first! then take a DNA sample of it! then maybe they can workout all the ins and out to make that super perfect funny boner joke

I'm with Willy on this, as you've posted whats best described by any humourist as an anal-ittlical observation, seeking comedic reply, the only worthy answer would be..."get a life"
many Brits cannot tolerate USA humour, many Yankees cannot tolerate British humour, both like to see common foes of the people, suffer terriable pain and death, me too, this is human nature, years ago, public hanging was the big day out, now replaced by hollywood movie, even football, study basic psychology, but if you want to make friends go have a beer, shoot ball, etc "M" |
There are a ton of factors that influence response to humor: individual psychological state, cultural and social rewards, pride etc.
