Because it might be a while till silvers can test it out. Not sure if the silvers can log in to test it out online, but I think it's also single player, anyway.

There is no online for silver users...

so any ideas as to when for people who didnt wanna pay for gold or any colour untill we saw quality of game get to try online play

No word yet that I know of... but you can pay $4.99 for a one month gold membership.. thats what I did.

well to be honest wit hwhat was said about the game it looks just like joint ops . and graphics are no where near as good as the first dfx was and no comparision to bhd either . so glad at moment ive not payed anything

After playing the mission I must say that on my top 3 games from Novalogic this one is on 5th?

I doubt very much if this DFX2 will save Novalogic from the money lenders,
same game motor as JOE, same .PCX's as DFX but revamped.
My Pff3 Manager can't open the pff file, so 'HERE WE GO AGAIN', waiting for the community to catch up, it is one way for the art dept to clear out all the 'old' DFX before launching DFAF.....we wait an' see.

Try using a different PFF editor, mine opens fine

yeah that demo feels exactly like dfx. This is definitely a no go for me. I will stick to quake

It's probably a game only for players who really liked JO and DFX but disliked some of its gameplay. This game aims to be way better in terms of gameplay I think, with a whole load of new gameplay features (e.g. spawning in friends' vehicles, and squad emblems on vehicles).

I'm really hoping that df: af doesn't end up like this! Im not a fan so I'll wait on it.

tbh, I did not think the first dfx was all that bad. What really got me was all of the glitches in the game. I common terrain glitches you would run into every 10ft. I really thought it had potential novaworld just needed to spend a lot more time editing and tweaking the game. Which they did non of. But then again it was only $20 when it came out so i guess I cannot expect a ton from it. I will give the game the benefit of the doubt. It is still in its beta and the game could still change rapidly but from what I have seen, all it is is another dfx.

I have said this over and over again. Just please take your time when you make a game. Don't rush that ****. Build your game from example of the other very successful pc shooters.

Yeah I liked DFX too teej. It's actually great fun for just a 20 buck game.

But instead of Nova fixing the balance issues in DFX, they're making DFX2...

There's definetly a big bug in this demo.
After I close the multiplayer session my internet connection becomes dead.
Try it a couple of times and on different pc's and there's the same result. Internet connection becomes dead.

I had the same prob, go to join a server and internet disconnects and again when leave a game, disconnects, im using AGV8 anti-virus.
Once i disabled it the disconnections stopped.
