I am probably the one of the oldest DF players around, I have been playing the game since it came out back in 1995. lol I havent been around for the last year or so but I had my fair share in DF1... But... nothing beats playing BHD on a 60 inch high def. lol As far as NL.... I guess they had to prolong their release of a new game because of other games coming out one after another and they wanted to wait and make a sound when they came up with it. I am sure the next one will be a blast and like u and I die hard fans of will be captivated again. I have read all the posts and I agree with you all. it wil be a south american drug lords kinda gane with more realistic graphics and total reality to it. they know how good the other games are so thats why it is taking soo long for them to relase it. Alot of games came up since their last release. I think they it will came up on xbox console first and on PC. the xbox live was a blast. Like i said I playe it on a 60 inch high def and it is spectacular as well as sound. I am guessing it will be out about 2 months. thats what i think...... |

Problem is William...nova doesn`t support modding. That is one reason why their clientel is extremely limited.
No developers/modders want to have to hack their engine and then create all the models. That is one of the reasons why Valve is owning them with the source engine. It was built for modders. |
Nova do support mods, but not that much. I know they don't support DFX a for mods - for games like JO, yes.
Nova don't actually provide much as to help modders. They ask if you want help go to their novaworld.com forums - oh yeah, that'll help. That forum's full of bull**** people (keyboard commandos, spammers, you name it). When guys like us (who actually know what we're talking about in terms of modding), and we come and help, we don't get any thanks and probably get flamed for it or have our assistance taken for granted. Their mod tools Nova put up are also hard to understand unless you have a good understanding of several things too. Not really for beginners who are on their first steps for modding. Chris |
will you have to keep mind NL has always been two face when it come to modding their games, beside their support lags vs other games support.
i mean if you call their 1-818-787-0235 number you be hanging on the phone for 2-4 hours, they really can careless if people having trouble with their game software. use to be they pickup in 5-10min take care of the party calling. now days you be left hanging there on hold for ever e-mail to support don't think they asker your e-mail ether they may get back with you in 2-3weeks if your lucky. the thing with NL when it come to mods they had no hand in it, there no money to be made from it, so they will never help other build mods for their game. novaworld.com/forum is really a joke, all it is now days all spam posting in it. sample DF-BHD selection in their forum they have people making up thread on baseball and who be the next person in the white house. no then on the game at all or players showing off their stats. don't care for their forum at all. too many bugs in it for my liking. hate to say this but i not going to buy their next new game, i may buy COD4 or if there a COD5 i may get it, will not even try NL new game. lost my taste for their game. like something make me jump will NL game never did that for me like other game has. think their new game will be more like DF: Xtreme style game play |

Online gaming and modding really gets me going all the time for DF and never gets me bored. And yeah you're right the NovaWorld forums are messed up. Hell, I even remember they removed the Lounge forum - man!!! :mad: NovaWorld forums are so filled of low-life ignorant ****heads (big sorry for my language). It's really hard to explain to people who haven't been there. Go post a thread there - can be about anything whatsoever, and there's probably gonna be spammers and idiots around the corner. Just my opinion, really. All the moderators really do is lock threads that mention cheating or hacking. They don't do anything else. Oh yeah, not to mention their forum itself sucks. It's slow, it's unreliable, and it's buggy. Oh, and like last year they removed all the posts on the forum. Stupid decision. I reckon their forums are just so screwed up as is. Just shut down the forum and leave it like that. Leave it to community forums like this... Chris |

Game might be great but there tech support sucks ass.I on novalogic and there weak ass mods.You know theres gonna be 70% hackers but like all nova games they dont give a ****.Novalogic has mods that are hack users themselfs like the squad G.I. If you hack and your good with the mod they dont care,Eveyone knows who i am and il ****ing own the hacks like I do the mods I just wish the mods have some balls and meet me somewhere since I live right by nova hq.And if your a hack like in jotr ill own your ass like i do in jotr.
