safari is great and if it starts being slow export your bookmarks uninstall it
delete the safari folders still left under " My Documents " reinstall it and import the bookmarks.
that will put it new again...

think AOL kill of Netscape totally, no more updates for it.

it was the best browser of all time to me!
when it first came out i love it back then in med 90s and when it was trash by AOL who taken it over was a sad day.

yea no more support but still can get it they link to flock as replacement...

today:
will my mother is stuck with Windows 2000 pro use and IE6 for it, i install Firefox 3.0.3 into it and its working out great much more security for her as Microsoft all IE6 and newer version for older windows system will not give them the newer version IE.

so Firefox is to her a 1000x better, she feel safe going to her online bank account now days and other sites.

she still have IE6 in but only reason for being still there is only for windows updates. and yes MS still make updates for Windows 2000 pro for her so she still happy for that. but she will not go online using IE6 or any to buy item with it were she feel using FireFox3 is much more secure to use

Chief try Windows Safari on her machine. She'll like that one as well. ;)

also opera is also good and yea a vote for safari
i think its the best one

also its best to have them all incase something messes up
at least there may be one that will work and have all the latest drivers
esp for her lan card on a cd and have several copies...you never know what might happen virus hdd crash etc
