Assaulter.net, the site you have known to support the Delta Force series, is now expanding to a new game. We now support America's Army. This is a great looking new game, and best thing about it: it's free. So stop by the site and learn about this new game.

Personally I don't think its a very bright idea, its only a 7 year project the US Army is taking on. If I remember correctly they are supposed to come up with new games over the 7 years.

Actually, America's Army includes two different games. These two games, together, form AA. Having spoke with the PR for the game, I know they will contiue to add more and more to these two games, but not add any others. The premise and idea behind it is quite fascinating, they got a very unique way to tie the two games together. And if the game stays strong for seven years, that is a pretty long time for the video game industry.

I think everyone is forgetting that this game is available only to US citizens.

However since this game is developed by the US Army, could there be a possibility that the developers (for propganda purposes) make the M16 stronger than the AK47?

Thats very possible. Weapons are actually one of the complaints of the beta version. It works like this:

Lets say you are playing online. To each team, it will appear as though the other team is holding an AK, while to them they hold an M16. If you are on team A, it looks as though team B is holding an AK, but to team B they are holding an AK, and team A is holding an AK. So in other words, no one ever really has an AK, it only appears they do (if that makes any sense, lol).

(This is the way I understand it to be, I could be wrong, but from what I have read, this is how it is.)

This is a really sore part about the game, and they have already got their share of complaints about it, and the game hasn't even been released. But for free, can't complain much, and I honestly anticipate that this will be changed.

And yes Bustin, you are right, only available to US, but how would they restrict you from downloading it? Perhaps through registration, but i guess you could fib a little there :p

People outside of the US have tried downloading the game, they can not. Stop by DF3.net and learn to do your homework before going off trying to make someone look stupid.
