Dr. Bullet
11-13-2004, 03:59 PM
I want to try to get this straight...we must take and outline it, and the point is to have a wireframe, then give it a paintjob?

if u hold shift and click the brush and then put the brush in another spot and click the brush again it will make a line from the first point to the second, really not that hard and yes it works in ps7 cuz thats what i use..........ps if u stroke it its not gonna look the same, actually draw it with a 1px brush ;)

Steve
11-14-2004, 07:13 AM
yeah it should be straight forward with the pencil tool. you would get a slight problem using shift-click with the lasoo tools however.

hopefull i will get time to have a go

Okay, just finished my entry, however I just noticed this rule:
"any car is ok (no other vehicles)"

So, I don't know if you guys want to count my entry or not, I would make another one, but it takes waaaay too long.

What do you mean I didn't draw it? I drew 100% of it, and I even have the psd files to prove it. I just used the pencil tool, held shift, and traced away!

It took about 2 hours of work, and by the time I got to the suspention I was so sick of tracing, that I decided not to add as much detail to that area. ;)

Below is a link to a zip file that contains all of the psd files used in creation.

oh sorry man my mistake that must be y u picked a hummer cuz its square and u can use the shift key alot in this vehicle lol, I see how u did it now in your psd............thx for giving it to us but u really didnt have to I wasnt assuming that u cheated or anything i was just simply stating how it looked like u took the easy way out :p but good job on the shift key work! :gj:

its not that hard!
30 mins =

ok not great but anything taking less than 30 mins ain't worth producing anyway.

11-16-2004, 02:04 PM
nice one stevie

Rider
11-16-2004, 03:52 PM
well i guess not since u didnt give it no windsheild wipers or the scoop on the top or nothing lol shouldve at least did something diff. with the rims, I tried to replicate the entire car with the shadows and all lol, that might be why it was harder for me lol

Steve
11-16-2004, 04:05 PM
i was just proving it's not difficult to all those quitters out there, not to those who had go. i didnt see your comment saying it was hard, yes it is hard to get a good result like you did... but i bet it took a lot longer then 30 mins? (worth it though ;) )

katana*GFR*
11-16-2004, 04:52 PM
bah now im 4th..... and it took me 3 hours to get all the lines like that........

Anywayz this was fun we should have more like this.

Dr. Bullet
11-16-2004, 05:32 PM
This is nuts...we do need to have it again though. I'm one of those people that spend 5 minutes fiddling with the pic, saving, coming back later when I have time, etc etc...at that rate it'll take a week:p

Maybe I'll spend a long time making a perfect car, then when this comes up again I'll win it:cool: :D

Dr. Bullet
11-16-2004, 05:33 PM
It won't let me edit, or else I would, but nice entries so far. That hummer was great! It almost looked like a posterized picture (which is good...).

Ok, here's my entry.

Great effort to all that entered.

Good Luck to all.

man the back half on that is almost perfect

Dr. Bullet
11-19-2004, 12:07 PM
Yup. I had saved the back half. It took me about 4 hours, and all that time I was tweaking gradients and lighting. I didn't have those nasty thick lines, and it was even on a transparent background

When I was done with the first, the only thing I didn't like was the grille and the airdam. I wish that were my only problem:eek:
