1. I've come across this topic several times but no real explanation. Apparently you can log on directly here and play DFLW without having to go thru the NL login bit but I must be missing something because all it does is churn around for 30 seconds and kick me back to a screen that says thanks for playing???

Whatz this supposed to do?

2. Whatz an ICQ number?

I use this URL to check novaworld.
http://208.231.90.239/df3lobbyq7.htm Goes right to the public lobby and shows the map names!

A ICQ number is a way to contact someone on a chat program called ICQ. You get assigned a number when you sign up and other people add you to there contacts with that number.

there is a program called IP4LW
this is a lil program that u run and u can select your favourite servers (upto 100 i think) to put in it. u can run the program and it will show the 'ping' , how amny players ar ein the game and has a lil button which says join. u click the join button to which ever server u want to playin and sit back as it starts up the game, and logs u straight into the game without u haveing to do anything.

u can get it in our utilities section.

it was a lil tricky to figure out at first but if u need any help, then we can give u advice.

if it gets messed up and u cant seem to log into a game in LW then u just click on update game and it will set it up to how it was b4 u used IP4LW.

in IP4LW the lobby address will need updating to the one that u posted originally.

the best feature of it is that if a game is full u select the box next to 'join' and it will keep checking the game every 3 seconds and when someone leaves it makes a hooter noise and joins the game.

i recommend it totally my friend as u may have guessed.

Thanks all. Great answers for something that always puzzled me but was afraid to ask about. This stuff will keep me busy for awhile.
