Error: All DFTFD Mods in one archive

When I download this file, AllDFTFDMods.zip, there are no executables in it to install the mods.

This in contrast to the one for LW, which did have an exe to run to install the parts, as well as an instruction file. I think AllDFTFDMods.zip is not complete.

I'm not familiar with the file but it's sure to be complete.

The mods may need to be packed or arguments set.

The contents of the current zip file:

EXPMaps folder (with 56 .bms files)
SMALL.PFF
TERRAINS.PFF

Just looking I'd say you just extract it all to the game folder.

The .PFF files are packed assets.

The .bms files are playable missions.

Have a look at the documentation that comes with the Mod Tools download below, I think they explain the process of modding which may help you understand how to deal with mods.

You just extract the contents to your DFTFD folder and that's all you need to do. The mods are contained in the PFF files that the game loads.

There you go blackhawksky.

As I thought it's all ready to go, just copy it over your existing files, after backing them up of course.

Sorry I may have made it sound a bit complicated, also you're not to blame because you couldn't be expected to known it was so easy just like that, so I hope you get it installed OK and enjoy all the good work.

@Scott
Thanks for confirming.
I'm sure we'll soon see one happy customer

Thanks I went ahead and did that.

Don't know if this is related or not, but when I went to join a lobby I got this error:

"Program Error
!Unable to find detail texture"

After copying over all the mods, which includes the EXP Pack, I shouldn't get this error?

Not sure but here's some rules of thumb...

If you install a mod and play online the host server must be running the mod.

If you host a mod all players must have the mod to join.

The host server must balance slots and bandwidth to run the mod without errors.

The host probably has a mod that you don't.. If he maybe made it for himself or his group. Not sure how to find out which one he has...
