I had to reinstall Windows XP once, because there was a big file corrupt for some reason.
I HATE it how your heart beats so much when you think the computer is stuffed.
I just used Norton GoBack 4.0 to restore my computer to a previous time because I tried using
System Restore to restore the computer to a previous time, and it turned out that
System Restore totally stuffed my computer up so I used Norton GoBack 4.0, which fixed it.
That time, I thought I had to reinstall Windows XP again.

If only computers were as smart and could listen to you... we'd tell them we'll smash their
brain if they don't do their work... it's a long way until that technology comes out LOL.

Just tell them you tryed to install SP2 and it screwed up your machine.
They tend to be very quiet after you say that.

next time wait I think it is 90 to 120 days before you do a re-install.

Your re-install count gets reset so you can then activate via internet again

I have never had a problem with talking with some one, what I don't like is having to read those long numbers to the computer, only to have the computer tell me it couldn't active it (which I already know) then sending me to some one and having to read all those numbers again.
