Cry DF2 AK-47 MOD by Bullet Magnet !help!

Hello guys, I have struggled for years to get this mod working on my DF2, but no success. I'm asking you guys that got this mod to work... How did you?

I extract all files in DF2 directory and install them but after that nothing happens. I have found 2 different downloads. 1 pretty simple when you click install and wait. But that 1 doesn't work

The second 1 I think you install and then run the mod in the DF2 directory but It won't work because it crashes ( I get an error.)

Please could some 1 help me. I play with Kalashnikov in all games. Now i really would love to use it in DF2!

All sort of help is much appreciated

DF2 AK-47 MOD

Created by bullet magnet.

The AK-47 is available in the game menu and replaces the m4 masterkey with the ak-47 graphics and sounds.

With installer/unistaller

To run, go to df2 directory main folder and run DF2_AK-47.EXE after install
================

below is what i recall moden a game back this, been many years not 100%
to replace skin in the game one need to swap out old skin with the new skin
using PFF Editor tool swap skins or files

on this only what i recall long all go, keep in-mind some df2 host has anti-cheat tool running can't say if it block you from enter their servers.

Thanks for answer Hellfighter, but when I run the installer I get this message:
"C:\Program Files\NovaLogic\Delta Force 2\Df2.exe The specified path does not exist.
Check path, and then try again.

I know I have it on steam and in the steamapps. But when i try to change to that this comes: " The folder 'C:\ Program Files\NovaLogic\Delta Force 2' specified in the Start In box is not valid. Make sure that the folder exists and that the path is correct.

So I can't kind of do anything. Should I copy the game and put in the folder that u had when u bought the cd?
Like in C:\ Program Files\NovaLogic\Delta Force 2?
Maybe it will work then?
I have tried the PFF Editor as well. But same things happens

ok you download it from steam

the thing is think the mod was made for retrial CD version, steam made changes to it not quite the same version now, steam update is buggy i heard from others! sorry i never had delta force serials from steam before. you could try to get the Cd/ DVD version of the game.

DF2 pack link: http://www.amazon.com/Action-Pack-Cl...=Delta+force+2

can't say much about the seller, buy as is all i can say! never buy a use Cd/DVD with Keycode 9 out 10 its no good. only buy new

Ah I still won't get it to work. I downloaded the first DF2 version. And 2 different downloads from Bullet Magnet. But it won't work
1 installer nothing happens and the other it just says check the path and try again. :/

I know some people have gotten it to work for example bravo45th here's an video of it in game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iUk1tTKBco

Any 1 that have it could upload an easier file or something?
Would be allot appreciated!

With modern Windows OS your game is probably in Program Files (x86) not Program Files.

Either reinstall and select that or alternative folder or another trick is to put the installer inside the DF2 folder then run it.

(Most exe check for files in the local installation (ROOT) folder path as well as external directives.)

Good Luck

Could you please post the method you used in this case?

It may be a bit late but it could still be a handy reference for others...

Yes, I will try to do my best in explaining . :]
Since i'm a Norsemen, hehe

I own the game via steam and the 10th anniversary CD. So i made the decision i actually can download it from internet. The reason why i downloaded it was because i needed an older version of the game. When installing it i placed it in the folder as stompem mentioned "Program Files" NOT "Program Files (x86)".
Don't know if this i right word, but after that I kind of downgraded the game version.
From a file name: DF2301MEX
Here's the page

Then I had to download and run a DLL file because that thing was missing or else I would not have been able to downgrade the game with DF2301MEX. When I look at the dll file on my PC it's named: dffsetup-msvbvm50
It worked smoothly! ( When you download DF2301MEX it will tell you the name of the file missing, so you can just google it. ezpz )

Then I had 2 downloads from Bullet Magnets Kalashnikovs. Just follow instructions when installing and place everything in you DF2 folder. The one that worked for me will create a shortcut in your game folder when installing it. DF2_AK-47.exe will the name be. Just click it and the mod should work.

You can install to Program Files as the built in MOD shortcut is set to this but....

Because of the age of the game, you may have issues with the newer windows system and some API's and DLL's may be inaccessible depending on various circumstances... so it's hit and miss as to how to reliably install and more workarounds may be needed.

If you follow this method it will be relatively pain free and application compatibility settings will not be needed.

Quote:
Install DF2 but change the installation folder to C: Games Novalogic or something similar because windows does "funny" things in both Program Files and Program Files (x86).

Then you must make sure the MOD installs to the same folder you installed the game to.

NOTE
At this point - Do Not try to link to DF2_AK-47.exe, to run the MOD you must still start the game with DF2.exe

To do this make a short-cut on your desktop to DF2.exe, then open the short-cut properties (right click) and add /d to the target data as follows

"Novalogic\Delta Force 2\Df2.exe" /d

Away you go
Here it is freshly installed just for this post on my W8 system ready for configuring.

TESTED:
GAME WORKS OK - AK-47 working OK
