Ohh.......it's the best for gaming I've used it for 1 year and it's the best there is for gaming.

old time teamspeak user here, i should move on at some point. maybe teamspeak will add all these other cool features at some point.

i heard a few people grumble a while back because of something in discord's T&C's, something along the lines of they collect all the data that goes through it, images, chat etc. no idea what for, advertising maybe. probably pretty standard stuff for more online apps these days... take my data the software is free hehe

Discord is great!
Very user friendly, an array of options for multiple channels within one server, audio chat and various other features including an ingame overlay.
Certainly easier than the days of Roger Wilco

Hey Steve that's an interesting point about TS data collection and the reasons why.

It takes money to do things, so how does discord manage it?

i try discord it fail no one like to hear other talk live in it, seem you have to back-out a game to read text others posted in discord!! seem wasted to use the darn thing

i think your better off using AOL IM then that goofy thing discord
ts3 love it and other as will. i'll pass on the discord things rub me wrong is all

yip i even got yell at for talking live to others in it, no-more of that

Must say it depends which channel you are on.

I regularly play BF1 with friends on a private channel, using Discord as for voice chat rather than the in-game as it keeps our chat private.

I did think of some other benefits:
Good audio codec, which incorporates echo cancellation, noise suppression, attenuation which lowers other applications volume if someone speaks.
Send various files in chat including images, videos etc
There is more but I won't go on :P

Obviously the terms of service as Steve mentioned caused a bit of controversy and with regards to making money they do offer a Premium version but I have never used it!
Data collection wise, the ToS are not very different to a lot of ToS and defiantly less evil than some.
If they want to hear me rage at lag, more fool them

I setup a DF1 channel a while ago but never bothered to share it. Feel free to join and give it a go (invite lasts one day)
