sysdump.txt
I just bought Delta Force 1-4 from www.GOG.com. When I load up Delta force 2 and click "Play on Novaworld" I get an error message that says sysdump.txt saved. Included in that text is the following.
This program has caused an access violation exception at 77186609h Attempting to read from 01c39b34h The game runs fine in single player and I can create a game on ipx/spx or novaworld just fine.. but trying to join is when I get a problem. I have windows 7, I have upgraded my video card drivers, ran with and without administrator mode and played around with the compatibility settings. Any suggestions? |

Hi.
#1 Try going through the menu options "Multiplayer Options" -> "Join Multiplayer Game" -> click "Seach" or "Join". Does the same thing happen? #2 In your DF2 folder, rename "Netsock.dll" to "NetsockBackup.dll". Rename "Netsocknl.dll" to "Netsock.dll". Load the game, does the same thing happen? If you still get a sysdump, please undo those changes. If you have Facebook or Messenger I can also help you on there if you PM me your name or add me from here: https://www.facebook.com/slucky

I have tried the first solution before and it had the same error. I just tried the second solution and it doesn't seem to fix the problem. Thanks for your help though. |

Just so everyone else knows, I helped him on Team Viewer. The problem is GOG applied some fixes to the game that interfered with UAC. If you are getting this error with any DF game from GOG, rename the "EXE" to something else. Example: Df2.exe to Df2_Copy.exe, Dflw.exe to Dflw_Copy.exe etc and try and run the game. it should fix your issue. You might need to update your shortcut also. I will contact GOG to see if they can fix this issue.
