So I just recently started messing with .htaccess. Wow, this sh*t is awesome. So many things you can do to screw with people lol

It's a file you put in the root directory of your apache based web server to allow server configuration on the fly.

It can manage access to directories/files. You can do user name and password stuff with it too.
