What I mean is ... For the time it's been around it should be light years ahead of where it is now.

It's been based on the original NTFS system all this time and in fact I can still find DOS and Windows 3 files that are still in place, It's still a legacy system dressed up as a modern one with fix after fix and the runtime must go through several iterations of the old system calls until it reaches the current version and now as they finally head into unknown territory they continually use us (the public) as the testers.
