definately getting better m8, but would be a lot better if you dropped the white pixel text completely, and tried to make the main text a little "less aparent" .
that doesnt necessarily mean just lower the opacity either, coz that sometimes makes it look tacky... maybe try blending it in a bit better.
besides that, the bg and the image blending are very good, definately an improvment
