If you compress your fraps videos to (XVID/MP3)-AVI before using them in Moviemaker it should stop that crash on loading problem.
Try this free converter,
MyFFVideoConverter I have used it for years and I trust it.
It may not be the easiest to use but is quite powerful and can handle the huge size of Fraps Videos.
