Are you sure your downloading Brushes compatible with your version of photoshop?
if the brushes are made from previous versions they should work, But if brushes were made in CS or CS2 they will only work with them versions.
CS,CS2 are backward compatible, But if your using 7 or an earlier version they aint future compatible, So ones made with CS and CS2 should not work.
