It was grass/dirt... You and your buddies (it was multiplay-coop) would start out on the side of a hill... there would be a ton of helicopters at the start that would all come up shooting... You had to defeat all the helicopters, then go through the rest of the level, there are buildings with bad dudes in them, some outposts, you end up going (assuming you started south on the map) north then northwest across the small camp, then you would head up another valley and there would be more folks, in a more secure group of buildings. I could probably draw the map layout :-)
