look in the game folder see if there a cfg file open it up and after close it and play the game
under compatibility mode! make a shortcut on desktop and right click-on it see a listing click-on Property, up-top see "compatibility" tap click-on it, then look down the listing should see "compatibility mode" check the box and set it to ether Windows 95/Me or try Windows 2000. then apply and get out click-on "OK" you should be set to play without any error.
i heard some have open the game cfg file and windows see how the game handles so windows vista see how to use it.
i would do try both items open the cfg file and close it & set the compatibility mode in the shortcut Property setting
