Regardless, the General "Communication' & 'Scheduling' Rules were not followed by any squad that agreed to know and understand them when they registered. You all took up our time and resources.

Here is what all of you failed to read, understand and abide by.

[1] Communication:

[A] All contacts must co-ordinate the time and date with their opponent in the appropriate event forum. We don't mind if you use an outside communication programs to set up the match but we want it posted and confirmed on the proper event forum. By using the event forums you are making it an official NovaHQ match. If you do not, it will be voided or an unofficial match. The reason for challenging and confirming on the forums is so the staff can see who has made the effort to schedule the match. That will determine who will advance to the next round if the match is not played before the deadline of the tournament round. For example: Make the thread (Squad vs Squad, Game & Game type).

[B] Special arrangements: Special arrangements such as maps, time change, or tracers must be posted in the forum and agreed upon, and confirmed by both participants. If you use an outside communication program, we suggest taking a screenshot of the agreement and keep it as a hard copy for your own benefit. Our staff may need to see it incase of a problem.

[C] Rosters: All squad rosters must be posted 48 hours before the tournaments start. Updated rosters need be posted 48 hours before the next match. Any squad without a squad roster posted will forfeit the tournament for that gametype, for this season.

[C] After the frag start or time delay of your tournament match, all communication between opposing Squads must stop. This means every member. The Server Host should not talk to either squads, teams or players after match begins unless spoken to by the CO of either Squad Commander between maps.

[D] If there are any problems that need to be addressed concerning your match, post the situation in detail so the entire staff can review in the most unbiased manner before taking the decission to council. For example: Make the thread (Attn: NovaHQ - Squad vs Squad, Game & Game type) and the detailed problem in the body of the message. We will answer promptly.

[E] After the match has been played, post the results immediately so that we can make sure that the right squad, team or player gets advanced. For example: Make the thread (Squad over Squad - Game & Game type) with the scores posted in the body of the message. Also post all screenshots from the winning squad, team or player so the tournament staff can confirm the match and get brackets updated.

[2] Scheduling:

[A] You will be allotted two weeks to get your matches played and screenshots posted. There is a season schedule posted in the tournament news section for you to keep on a bi-monthly schedule. If you fail to post a challenge (Squad vs Squad - Game & Game type) in your event forum, if you fail to except and confirm the challenge of your event in the (Squad vs Squad - Game & Game type) thread and then run into any problems with your match, the NovaHQ staff will most likely vote in favor of those who followed the communication rules. If you fail to post your match results (Squad over Squad - Game & Game type) and if you fail to let the forum know of any problems that you might have conflict with your scheduled match then you will forfeit your match and your opponent will advance in the brackets by default. So all questions and problem threads must look like this: (Attn NovaHQ - Squad vs Squad - Game & Game type)

[B] You must try at least 2 times to contact your opponent on the forums throughout the the time allotted and check it daily for a reply . The first contact should be within the first 48 hours of the round. Confirmation should be made within the first 72 hours of your round start dates. We will not grant an extension if you wait to schedule and confirm two days before the deadline. Extensions will not be given out unless there is a very good reason. Once you have reached a(championship round) you have made it to the final match. The colors for host rights are not automatically given. One player from each squad must report to the tournement forum and post a number between 1-100. The Squad with closest number to the final number provided by Trojan (NovaHQ Site Administrator) will get to pick their color. Red will always get the server.

[C] Once you have made contact, scheduled and confirmed on the proper event forum and it is gametime, you will only have 15 minutes to get your players in the server and ready to start the match. If the match is scheduled for 6pm, get your players in the server by 6pm. If your opponents don't get all thier players in server in 15 minutes, by 6:15pm, it is a forfiet or the CO's can agree to a reschedule. The match must be scheduled and confirmed for this rule to protect either squad. You may reschedule at any time but this does not mean an extension will be granted by the NovaHQ Staff. It must all be recorded in the proper forums for your benefit and ours.
