Memory Dump Problem w/ DirectX 9a
Is anyone else having problems with BHD using DirectX 9a? When a multiplayer server cycles maps I get a memory dump which causes my comptuer to automatically reboot. This only happens in multi. I can pl;ay first map fine, but when it cycles I get nailed. Its happenening at about 10-15% into the load. Nova has no answers as usual.
here are my system specs to reference: AMD Athlon 1.4 768 MB Ram Geforce 4 ti 4200 128mb Soundblaster Live! Via KT266a chipset MB My OS is windows 2000 pro w/ SP3 and all updates All of my device drivers from my agp port to my network card have been updated to the latest drivers available. If anyone else is experiencing this or knows how to fix it please let me know. |
Go to www.windowsupdate.com and download the DirectX 9.0a End-User Runtime

Already installed, as I have said EVERYTHING is patched and up to date.
|
Un-install DirectX 9a and install DirectX 8.1, as of yet no games require DirextX 9 so you'll be ok with 8.
|
Actually I do have a game that needs DX9 to solve an issue with the video . . .

Yeah, and that POS Impossible Creatures has Direct X 9 too.
