OK incase you have been asleep for the past few days there is a brand spanking new DF:Black Hawk Down demo out and is being played online right now - but it runs out on Christmas day!

There is a bunch of new guns and all kinds of stuff :)

it's a big file - 105MB - but from what I can tell, it's worth it.

Yeah StevieB thanks, and to the guest poster that said "I think some people need to be woken up!"...I agree...and those people are Novalogic...mayhap they should get it into their heads that some of us are stuck using 56k dial-ups (some with a 2 hour cut off)...anyone ever tried to download 105Mb on 56k? it takes absolute yonks!!! and by the time you have it downloaded,well dang me if the expiry period hasn't gone and run out on both the demo and the Novaworld server that hosted it has gone down too!!!

Novalogic...GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND CONSIDER THE SMALL PEOPLE WHO ALSO PLAY AND LOVE YOUR GAMES!

game makers are alowly not going to worry bout 56kers anymore as long as there is a push for better graphics, it's just not economical, the beta was only meant to be until today MB was vey speific about this and that they would not extend it after all this is a beta not a demo.

Spam - I am on 56k, get 'getright' turn it on, put your modem on autoredial and leave it on overnight!

And anyhow - theres a crack that lets you play this after its cut off date - so if you still want to play it, then you should download it!
