Connection problem

Um, ok since I got my new modem my connection has an inusual problem.

My connection at the game server is pretty crappy in the evening. In the morning its good, in the evening sucks and in the night it r0x lol. I have no clue whats the problem is :/. Some people say its my router, but I would like to ask people with more experience. And IF it is my router, what should I do? thanks in advance.

P.s My modem is a STARBRIDGE ADSL ETHERNET USB NETWORK PROVIDER

It's just the trafic on the network. Evenings are the time when everyone goes online. Some ISP's with overloaded networks will get slow..
