Might be getting broadband...

...Yay!

The company guy's gonna come down like tomorrow or so. It's gonna be awesome. I might consider getting F.E.A.R.: Combat and seeing how BHD online turns out.

Well, one bad thing is there's gonna be a limit (on this dialup, there's no limit to how much you download or how much you use - $27.95 a month - end of story), but for broadband over here, you got the 2gb limit, 8gb limit, etc.

I also hope mum doesn't get a plan that charges you if you go over the limit (rather choose the plan where if you're over the limit your broadband speed drops to 56k).

There's a lot of other better ISPs out there but mum ain't switiching to them (our ISP is Telecom - the greedy overdog...)... :/

But hey, soon I'll be playing it online without lagging out so much.

Chris :)

Sounds Great! You will find F.E.A.R Combat to be CQB Maps.None of the Multiplayer Maps period, are really big.I really dont see why they didnt make a few maps a little bit bigger.I quit playing F.E.A.R Combat, because of the small maps and most of all the cheaters.I still pop up in it ever so often but I am hung on Enemy Territory Quake Wars.If you havent tried that yet, I would consider trying it.Its a great game!

Wow $27.95 a month for freakin` Dialup? That is how much we spend for DSL and we have 20 gig limit. Must be really expensive there.

^ dial up in the UK is more expensive than broadband, maybe the same in NZ for chris.

hope you get Broadband chris you won't regret it.

We just got the setup kit today and I have no freaking idea on how to install the D-Link Router thingy for it... No instructions on how to install it...

I have a fair idea of where things plug in, etc. but I don't wanna screw things up or anything. We're gonna get a techie to do this for us, heh. :D

I just hope that when it works I don't have any MP gaming problems (many people have probs with routers, etc. all the time lol).

Chris :)
