Yet Again we have rain!!!!

I know I've posted a few times about the "weather" on these boards but this is beyond a bloody joke! It has been raining non stop here for almost 48 hours and this morning some idiot on the radio stated and I quote: "We may possibly have a serious water shortage in the U.K. this year"????

On an island surrounded by water with an average rain fall that seems not unlike that of the Brazillian rain forest how can this possibly be????

Does anyome out there in a, (prefferably), hot and dry country have a guest house/room that this old dog come to stay a while in lol:)????

Regards a very wet and fed up of this bloody weather Baddog!

Nice and dry here. Going to be 74 F today :D

Perfect one day match weather ;)

Lakie 03-30-2005 09:22 AM

Expecting low 30's here for the next few days, and at night it cools down nicely because theres a constant breze off the adelaide hills. Its midnight and im in shorts and a tshirt.

Look on the good side bd, if it continues to rain you might get a respectible result in the ashes series coming up.

Unsure if youve heard of this yet DD, but the ICC has come up with a new form of criket aimed at the americans, its called 20/20 cricket. 20 overs a side, only change ends every 4 overs. Its a slogfest :)

WOW! Nice!!

Couple of years back I was in Canada and they had this Cricket match between India and Pakistan. The excitement and fan support was awesome. I hear it's similar in "Ashes" between Aussies and Brits :p

Clashes between india and pakistan are always great to watch, for the whole political thing and also Akthar vs Tendaulkar.

Cricket in Canada is taking off, they fielded a team in the last world cup and iirc they actually won a match!!

Sorry. I live in the land where anything under 80% humidity is dry :( Today is actually quite crisp at 47%, but it's nothing to be at 90%. It literally chokes you to walk outside.

It's about to get seriously rainy here though. Come April, it'll be like a deluge. I remember one year where it at least drizzled every day. It's common in April to have light-heavy rain every other day. We need it though. Come June and July, we may not get any rain for a month.

The weather around here is like a woman; liable to change at any moment . Ozark foothills and a snaking river full of trout keep my mind off of both of them. Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri weather goes from "Colder than a well diggers arse" in the morning, to "Hotter than a goats butt in a pepper patch" by noon. Lately it has been nice.Slightly sloppy and windy as a bubba-sized bowl of pinto beans.

luckydice 03-30-2005 01:28 PM

Trojan 03-30-2005 02:14 PM

LMAO! Sorry about all the rain m8. We've had record breakers here.

I do live in a guest house hehe. Well It's mine now damnit, heh. I plan on staying here until my Dad passes and that wont be for a long time lets hope. He is only 63 and in pretty good condition. His Dad lived to be in his 90's and his Mother is still iving at 89, to be 90 in July. She lives close to me in a nice Jayco Camper. She doesn't want to live in my Dads beautiful house because she says she doesn't want to be in the way. So, she is healthy enough to help out arounds dads kitchen still, let the dogs out at noon and other things.

I took a lifeline test online the other night and it told me I would only live to 73... .I've got some habits to break... .-troj

atholon 03-30-2005 02:15 PM

Thought all it did in the UK was rain? :p

Dr. Bullet 03-30-2005 02:38 PM

No no no...it's foggy there! All the time, fog, everywhere. And everyone carries umbrellas!

Trojan 03-30-2005 03:10 PM

I've got a London Fog coat, heh... .-troj

atholon 03-30-2005 03:10 PM
