Very big thanks to ravenn, the uber director of design on NovaWorld forums. As a gift for us as the community beta testing his stuff, he's sent us a link to this. :)

System Specs:

12 single player missions over 3 campaigns.

12 multiplayer maps supporting multiple game types including TKOTH, CTF, TDM & DM.

Utilizes real “Delta Force” scenarios, tactics and equipment in course of game through extensive
consultations with Delta Force operators.
Seamless large-scale environments encompassing land, air and sea-based vehicles.

Gratifying gunplay, well-balanced weapons, and tactically interesting dynamic environments.

Supporting up to 200 combatants, per game, in online play.

Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista
2Ghz CPU (Dual Core Recommended)
512 MB of RAM (1GB Recommended)
CD-ROM drive
800MB Free Hard Drive Space
DirectX 9.0 or higher

Set in the north-west region of Central America (near future in Colombia & Venezuela) “Delta Force: Angel Falls” takes the player to the rural, sparsely populated, jungle areas of this exotic locale. Avoiding the over-exposed Middle Eastern settings; the South American environment provides a premise which is naturally beautiful and full of new millennium conflicts.

Marginal governments, involved in local expansionism, continually scuffle with one another and with major global powers. Complicating the setting, drug cartels have evolved beyond money and violencedriven entities to political forces rivaling established governments. Influenced by current events, the game is both topical and novel.

The sometimes local philosophy of “your enemy is my friend and your friend is my enemy” gives rise to a multitude of ever-changing alliances and conflicts which drive the game’s rapid action and easy-to-digest back-story. The culmination of the conflict takes place in the Angel Falls area of Venezuela providing both a spectacular setting and a surprise ending.

July 2009 release date. And on CD-ROM...? :D

Once again lame that they never allowed any of NL fan sites to have access to that. Instead they have to give the info to some site that their fans don't even know of.

TBH it doesn't look impressive. I sure hope they modify the movement of the characters in JO's it was very clunky almost robotic. It took forever to even crouch.

IcIshoot 09-19-2008 04:34 PM

wow, still supporting windows 98????

cool pics though :D

Chrispy 09-19-2008 05:21 PM

I don't even care if the graphics aren't "up there" with Far Cry 2 or Crysis. To me those graphics look decent enough. I can live with those.

Graphics card was never mentioned in the specs though.

Its for this reason that I take stuff like this with a grain of salt - why is a third party site giving this info out? why not novalogic them selves?

Chrispy 09-19-2008 06:24 PM

I never even knew what "MTR Soft" was till now...

RogueCS 09-19-2008 06:45 PM

Seems like the info I was given about the December release is the demo, since the Mod told me a release of a demo would be 6 months prior to the game release.

Would be nice to have some solid info in a press release from Nova, it's not like they are developing a cure for cancer or the common cold.

atholon 09-19-2008 08:32 PM

Reasons NL will fail:

1. They have no idea how to handle public relations.
They never listen to what their customers want. They ignore them and don't ask for their opinions. The #1 best practice of any software development is to give the customer what they want.

2. No mods, with certain restrictions and banning mods on NovaWorld they have limited this area drastically.

3. Quality. Their graphics detail never seems to get much better. The characters in their games are still clunky like I mentioned above. There are tons of glitches in every game they have made.

UBISOFT, DICE, ACTIVISION and other good game developers and publishers care about this stuff. They also involve fan sites heavily and allow them to preview their up-coming stuff.

Their only customers will end up being those who find a cheap game for their kid at walmart that can actually run on their computer.

Chrispy 09-19-2008 08:33 PM

And WTF is MTR Soft...?! I've honestly never even heard of them. Look at the site - how many games have they published?

....

it looks like jo.

I predict another crappy glitchy game. They cannot compete with the battlefield series. they should just stop.

Hellfighter 09-19-2008 09:06 PM

have to wait and see.

they can't keep up with the rest of the world, some times i think they should go in a total new direction of a game totally....

think it going tobe like the rest the games they made, same basic theme maybe a new feel to the game but thats about it.

Chrispy 09-19-2008 09:10 PM

Yeah Chief I read that corporate page, then I just saw your post. ;)

some ppl need to stop looking at games such as crysis and far cry 2 and realise that not every game is going to be full on realistic eye candy..

and of course nova can do better, but nova hasnt exactly been known to create graphically amazing games.. but i have found that apart from DF-X they have made games that are fun to play for a long period of time

as for MTR-Soft.. looks like a publisher/distributor... no doubt they offered nova a good price for their services (as most smaller companies do..)

i am concerned over the 200 player feature tho... JO tried the 150 mark, but it lagged so badly even on the best servers... lets hope they have fixed it

Mstenger404 09-19-2008 09:11 PM

to be honest I gave up hope in novalogic. It looks like a graphical enhancement I remember how the gameplay is in JO and DFX, with those screenshots, im just picturing JO and its half decent gameplay with a graphical boost. no doubt I will buy the game IF it comes out, afterall it was a nova game that I played that made me figure out how to make maps and how quickly map making went through my head.

I bet that if I got any other game I woulda figured out how they work, but I know how to work the MED well and I cant figure out any other game editor.

Chrispy 09-19-2008 09:13 PM

Was talking to a mate on MSN and what... Nova have only like 20 people now... How many people have they fired, 50?

Chrispy 09-19-2008 09:14 PM

Oh, and CD-ROM huh?
