Can't add power-up in N.I.L.E.
Hello all, it's been a while since i used NILE to make maps, but today i tried something that i never tried, Power-ups placement, it just doesn't let me do it!
An error message keeps popping up saying this: "An object of the requested type could not be created" why is this? any way to solve it? i've been thinking placing any working item, saving the project as .NPJ, editing the file with notepad, and try to replace the ID of that item to a power-up ID, but i'm not sure if that would work :/ |
btw i'm using the latest updated version of NILE: NILE - Version 0.86; 4/19/05 16:32; English

??? Check that the "NILE" resource libraries are pointing to the current game directory (the one you are editing - they can become crossed) and if you are using an expansion or Mod ensure the "NILE" registers it -IE: Joint Operations Escalation\expansion\jox01
BTW - I Use MEd 2.60 for JO and there are no issues like this because the MEd is in the same directory as the game, not so with the "NILE" as it operates externally to the games it edits. Hope That Helps |
Thanks, i'll try that.

Nah, everything is set correctly, the NILE resource libraries are pointing to the correct game libraries (normal JOTR ), i just can't place any power up, i don't know :dontknow: , this is the first time i try that. I guess i'll have to use MED this time.
