Need help with my map
 

goes to show how un- bright you lot are...still waiting for anyone that knows anything about map making...and fixing issues..no-one on here nor any other df sites either..

Not sure we know whats wrong with it. I can load it up and play it just fine. It's just maybe DFLW isn't very popular and you have to try and get people to join your server.

DFLW was a big thing in SA for years so I know why you like it.

Maybe some server management software like PHPRat, WolfRat etc. can help you monitor logins over a period of time.

I don't know how you're managing the server but I'd guess that if players aren't in the lobby at the time you're in the server, or the map is empty at any given time might just be a reason why players aren't appearing, people may not know about it yet, if the server is up 24/7 you have a better chance of it getting known and the word spreading.

I was just off searching through Chopper Props Tools Database and found wolfrat

I'm hoping he wont mind if you went there and grabbed it if needed.

hi scott, tnks for reply, when hosting on dfhq, cc, nvwld, works fine,,but players tell me they can't get into the map for some reason...works fine as you say untill someone tries to join...and they can't????????

That sounds like what happens when there's a game version or mod conflict.

tried many things, installed the game clean, with update, no mods or extras, used nw login as i'm registered with serial number legally, actually made the map in 2009, so remade it from start andtried again, same prob, works fine for me and anyone that plays it or hosts it on nw and nhq, cc...same issue, others can't join, they tell me their locking up or they just sit their waiting for map to load, nothing happens...dammed if i know, tried different med scripts, zilch.

can you check it in a med program to see if configs are set right, i might have left something out or not ticked...really pisses me off mate.. ta.:dontknow:

No worries I can get DFLW going again and have a look for you but just before I do...

I don't really think I'll spot any errors in your map because it sounds like it's been stable for years and yooz guys would actually have more experience than I do in matters such as serving the older games - I was pretty green back then and do most of my mapping in DFX2 :gj:

Sometimes files can be set to read only or blocked when copying over from a drive that retains user data from a previous installation of Windows so I just wonder on an outside chance if that could cause it in anyway?

Is there any type of custom server config files or htm files in other players' folders?

In the mean time I'll just stand by and see what you think about that.

I've downloaded the file above but it's a binary mission (compiled bms) so I can't open it in the editor to examine it.

have made one set a coop so can be played without having to host.

NOTE:
Legacy naming rules could possibly apply - 15 characters including the extension.

An example is when packing a file to a pff using batch script you must obey this rule.

Found 14 Null objects at ground level, they're not all from the same origin.

I've detected about 5 different types that probably just need changing back or removal.

You'll see by the way they're positioned that they're probably bots except for one, which appears to be under water.
