i was thinking on buying it, but i don't know the
pro and con about it.

do you have to pay to play their game online? or is it free to play with others?

con any one make maps for the game or mod's for it?

is it really that good?

i dont have the singleplayer component but i did enjoy the demo, i was considering buying it but more games came out that i also wanted.

so i have the free multiplayer component, i think its fun, when my addrenaline is pumpin you'll see my name in the middle of the screen more then once. you can make maps for it but i dont know the applications required. and its free to play online, when you join a server with a custom map or accesories, you automaticaly begin downloading but it takes forever.

i got bored with the single player just by playing the demo, so never bought the full game. the free multiplayer is a great idea, i'm sure I downloaded it somewhere, but never got around to installing it (like most stuff i download). let us know how it goes :) (sereenies??)

Expansion LOL!Theres already an expansion out called Extraction Point.I have F.E.A.R and I play it Multiplayer sometimes, but not much anymore.I think they could of gave us some bigger maps on it for MP.Ive beat both F.E.A.R and F.E.A.R. Extraction Point.I wish they would ass Extraction Point Weapons and Stuff to the Online Multiplayer Gaming.Theres a lot of cool new stuff in the Expansion.I love the game so much I can play the Single Player over and over.Extraction Point costs about $15-$20 if im not mistaken!Its been our for months though!

If you download it with Utorrent and leave it running a few hours every day, it should take 2-4 days.I mean its worth the wait.The Expansion was excellent for F.E.A.R.I havent yet tried it with any mods though!You might have it downloaded withing a day to a day in a half if you leave it running a full 24 hours.Its all about how many people are uploading and downloading on how fast it goes!

This is probably a stupid question but, how would F.E.A.R. MP do on dialup? I know there'll probably be major-ass lag, but would it do good with under 6 players or so?

i hear fear is kinda set up to compensate for slightly slower than broad-band connections, unlike counter strike.

its only annoying for the faster connections when playin with slo ppl, when i run around a corner im still being shot by a dude that im runnin away from, on my screen im around the corner and no longer see him, on his screen he still sees me make a run for the corner and can still inflict damage.

F.E.A.R is a pretty heavy shooting game lol.I am sure Dial Up would lag like hell on F.E.A.R.But its worth a try, to make sure!The MP shouldnt take yall that long!If any of yall want, I might be able to help yall get it faster, just hit me up on MSN at xtdaredevil@hotmail.com and I will send it to you through MSN.I know if a friend of mine could send me is whole Punkbuster folder through there and me get it in less than a minute or two, I know I can send that MP download for F.E.A.R. within 5 minutes the max.
