DFX2 Beta released

It has been released, currently downloading it. Gold members received an email this morning containing an FTP link to it.

Taken from the email:

"To All NovaWorld Gold Members,

We’re happy to announce that the Delta Force: Xtreme 2 Beta is now available to download! Please remember that, for the time being, this is your exclusive opportunity as Gold members: you’re going to have to be logged in with a valid Gold account in order for the game to work. And we’re counting on your input: we’re putting up a thread in the Gold forums for your comments, questions, bug alerts and feedback. Keep us posted, and keep checking the thread, as we’ll be coordinating times to try and get as many people as possible playing at once. "

Just played it - Already beat the demo lol. It has 1 single player mission, and 2 multi player servers up.

You can tell its DFX, but the graphics do look better to me, and the game play is improved.

I wonder if this is the file I have to download. :bday:

I wonder if I can play the single player maps if I am a silver member.

Got to download and try.

Too tempting not to........:cb:

Not that I know of - other then the fact that it was sent to gold members.... but given my past "history" with NL I'm trying not to give them any thing to question....

Mouse has found it, as it is in their "public" ftp site lol

And no, you don't have to be Gold to play single player, only multiplayer.

I like it. It definitely is DFX, but the weapon range feels like BHD. I couldn't play single player missions in DFX, every thing was so out of line.

DFX2 has fixed that. Now I really can't wait for the full release

I have had two AI team members get stuck in a building and the third just run around in circles, trying to join up with them.

The M24 sniper rifle sounds pathetic.

Can't find a way to alter the zeroing settings on the sniper scopes.

The distance to target is shown in the scope, so there is no need to use the binoculars.

The dragunov seems to have automatic zeroing, so basically you only have to put the cross-hare on the target and pull the trigger.

This is definitely not a game for snipers who want a challenge. ( just point and click )

I have had a quick try of the other weapons and found that if I can see a target then I can kill it with any primary weapon.

I like the graphics of what I've seen and if nova can get 150 players online without the game grinding to a halt, I'm sure the people who like running around blasting away at each other will like the game.

Hmmm..... no edit button. :squintdan

Thats the graphics? =/ it looks like a viewport from 3DSM

Steve 04-23-2009 04:36 PM

looks like there is an NDA until the public beta is available... and i guess it is eh?

Can't see any NDA there, can you ?

Steve 04-23-2009 04:48 PM

think it was for the gold members who are multi testing, NL forum is so damn slow I'm still trying to find out :/
