BHD problem w/ sys dumps

well, i got Vista on this new computer, and for the first few weeks, the game ran just fine, but now every time i try to go into a server or i get in the server and play for 5 minutes, i get a system dump. I have nothin in my cache folder and i have deleted the SYSDUMP.txt numerouse times. Is there any possible way on fixing this issue?

did u uninstall it and re-install it...

and if that doesn't work uninstall it again and go delete all the BHD folders and then reinstall it...

or you can always go through the control panel and remove it from there and see if that works aswell...

:D :D :D

One of my squad members was having this problem- it appeared to him that the issue was BHD wasn't handling DirecX 10 very well.

Doing a google search returned results that seemed to support that theory.

The solution was to install directX 9.

AH, so that's why my BHD isn't working to well. Not a huge deal to downgrade to Direct X 9 for a bit.

maybe -- he was having a hard time installing version 9.

Lol what is funny is that I just installed vista beta2 and played BHD with no problems (maybe beta 2 isn't using directx10 yet?)

dont' know, but i always get sysdumb errors in single player, and multiplayer i'm in the game for all of 20 seconds before it kicks me for no reason.

wouldn't hurt to try it.

Also make sure windows firewall isn't blocking BHD.

I have the same problem too. I know that firewall is not blocking BHD. I can't even play the single player missions without getting booted. When I close the game out, my computer seems to say that it has something to do with Windows Update. But I am always up to date with that. It is automatically checking for updates. I am hoping to get the platinum pack for BHD/TS soon.

go to windows update and check custom update button this will check for other updates they were not high-priority updates listing, like new drivers, newer version of net framework release and others update did not get download as high-priority automatic updates

you may need net-frame work update for it. windows xp/ vista use now days network 3.5 or newer
video cards (PCI, PCIe, AGP, PCI-Slave) use net framework

open "Internet Explorer" look up top see "tools" click-on it, in the listing you see "windows update" click-on it take you right to windows update site asap

link: http://www.update.microsoft.com/micr...ult.aspx?ln=en

Ps if it shows Net framework 2.2 download it anyways and install it and so on with any other version of net framework as will.

i have a tool that will remove net framework totally from the system and install it back in as new again. through windows update get it back install again. would not need windows net framework 1.1, version 2.0 yes and above! its from Microsoft the tool i got.

but that is the last thing you would do! if no then other will work. double check windows update and click-on custom update button there. all update for you to install you see any others get them as will. may fix the trouble you having.

I have Service Pack 2 for Vista already on my computer. I am still getting sys dumps during game play on Black Hawk Down. I even get it just after the map for single player missions start. Now what do I do? I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and all other components. This is very frustrating. I enjoy playing this game very much too.

i don't remember (i have Windows XP but i read something to do with the game cfg file or some others) if its the cfg file need to be open to get windows vista run the game so it knows how to handle it.

dfv.cfg
===========
all so edited your shortcut for the game (compatibility)
left click-on shortcut see "Properties" open it, then you see tap "compatibility" click-on it

in the listing should see a listing "[*]run this program mode" set for: Windows Xp

click-on apply and then ok

i added you to my Windows Live IM already
sign-in Yahoo IM you should see me as: ldrbill65etu listing or see William NHq
enjoy your game
