hello guys now its december i still cant forget about what happened last year on december few minutes after christmas.....i think a another storm would hit my home island catanduanes on eastern philippines and i fear......much more stronger storm would be born....rumors has been said that "after 20 years a stronger storm would be formed" still, im anxious about whats gonna happen now if it did happen i would be then inactive because of broken power lines, ran out of gasoline for gen'set and low battery if it did happen this is the answer

I think it's not necessarily the fear of pain and the inherent weakness (wrongly) attributed to that.

Not knowing how you will die is probably where most of the fear comes from.

High on the list would also be leaving responsibility behind, children, unfinished business etc.

As mentioned by many ppl, it's also handy in keeping one alive to do all of this, so unless you're a suicidal psychopath and don't care, which isn't healthy and a complete waste of a parent's time, then there's nothing wrong with fear, it's a form of respect.
