Help with NWAuthenticator

When I run the program as admin this is the message that is given back in the box:

27/06/2017 12:14:38PM :: Could not write to hosts file... Run this app as administrator or add the following line manually and restart the app // 127.0.0.1 novaworld.net #nwauth

Any help greatly appreciated....:)

What OS are you on?

In C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ there is a file named "hosts" without any extension. The program tries to write to this location but for some reason it can't on your machine. You can manually add the required info to this file by typing a new line:

127.0.0.1 novaworld.net #nwauth

or if the file does not exist, create a new one named "hosts" without an extension. After you add to this file, you may need a reboot.

Thank you, I will give that a try.....:)

I am using windows 10

Ok, I tried to add the line in the host file and when I click save it pops up a box that says :

Save failed-

Please check if this file is open in another program

So create a new file on your desktop named "hosts" without an extension. In notepad, when saving the file, type with quotes "hosts" and click save. Then open the one from C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ and copy the contents to this new file on your desktop. Then add the stuff I said to add at the bottom of the new file and save it.

Now you want to copy the new file over to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ and it will ask for admin permissions and if you want to overwrite, if so click yes and both and then reboot. The program still might give you the error but it should work.

If you still have issues send me a PM and we can do this over TeamViewer if you have it... Once you have done that, the program should work.
